The most famous cycling race in the world, the Tour de France is seen as the ultimate test in speed and stamina for cyclists. This year the Tour de France runs from Saturday the 3rd of July until Sunday the 25th of July. With only 2 rest days for the whole
event that's 21 days of heart pumping action for the worlds cycling elite.
This year the Tour de France comprises of 21 stages and covers 3642 kilometres. Of the 21 stages 1 is a prologue, 9 are flat, 6 are mountain, 4 are classed as medium mountain stages whilst 1 is an individual time trial. From the start in Rotterdam to the finish at the Champs-Élysées in Paris it's sure to be yet another classic race. Almost every year
