Golf, the US Open - Live On The Internet

Watch All The Golf You Could Ever Want Over The Internet!

Fast greens, lots of bunkers and the world beating golfers, the US Open is finally here. The second of the majors tees off at Torrey Pines Golf Course on Thursday 12th June 2008, with South American Angel Cabrera the current champion. The US Open is seen by a lot of people to be the most exciting golf event of the year, with the USPGA setting the worlds best golfers a serious challenge. From the 448 yard Par 4 first to the 573 yard Par 5 last all these years US Open competitors are sure to get no easy holes! The course at Torrey Pines will be set up at 7,541 yards (the longest in US Open history) and will play to a par of 71 instead of the usual 70.

This years tournament will be seen as a come back for Tiger Woods who has recently recovered from a knee injury. The tournament will be very open, not that it ever follows any sort of a script anyway!
