U21 Euro Championships - Live On The Internet

The 2007 U21 European Championships competition actually began before the 2006 finals had finished, with a qualification round to eliminate the eight lowest ranked nations. For the first time ever a host (Netherlands) had been chosen ahead of the qualification section. As hosts, Netherlands qualify automatically. Coincidentally, the Dutch team also won the 2006 competition - the holders would normally have to go through the qualification stage. The other nations all go into 14 three-team groups and will play one match at home and one away. The winners of the 14 Euro Championship groups then play-off to decide the seven qualifiers alongside the hosts.

The U21 European Championships finals kick-off on Sunday the 10th June, with the final due to be played in Groningen on Saturday the 23rd June. There is huge interest in European under 21 football as many of the biggest players in the world will be playing in this tournament. As well as those that have already made it at domestic level there are also sure to be many players who use this stage to further their domestic career. Being such a popular competition many of the channels available via streaming software will be showing the games so it shouldn't be hard to follow your favourite team.
