Streaming Football Software
There doesn't seem to be a week that goes by at the moment where some new streaming football software isn't released. There are now more ways of watching live football matches over the internet than there ever were before. However, with all this choice comes new problems, people are always looking out for a better streaming quality, whether
that means full English commentary or just a higher bit-rate and clearer picture. The problem isn't soo much finding the football game you want to watch but rather finding a picture quality that you'll watch. All the streaming programs work slightly differently and so it's difficlut to know what is working the best at any given time.
To help out i'm going to list best combinations of streaming software and channel when watching live football. See it as a sort of order in which to try and find the game that you want to see.
- ESPN on SOPCast - Great picture with English commentary
- ESPN on PPMate - Low bit rate but with smooth frame rate, best viewed via a PC monitor
- Star Sports on PPStream - Great picture, non-english commentary
- Any channel on PPStream - Probably the best all round streaming software at the moment
- Any channel on SOPCast - Normally a high bit-rate but occasionally jerky playback
- Any channel on PPMate - Low quality picture but always appears to have smooth playback
- Any channel on TVAnts - No matter how high the buffer quality it always appears to buffer for long periods
