Golf, the Open Championship - Live On The Internet

The 150th anniversary of the Open golf tournament takes place this weekend (15th - 18th July) at the most famous golf course in the world, The Old Course at St Andrews. Comprising of a field of 156 top golfers this years tournament is seen as being one of the most open in many years, I'm guessing we'd all like to see Tiger in some sort of form? As always for the open the course they have chosen is difficult, the St Andrews course is the most famous bit of golf turf in the world and the Old Course will be setup to play a total of 7305 yards.
It can be guaranteed that the British weather will play its part, the forecast seems to be a mix of showers and strengthening winds, combine this with the tough course, sub par form of Tiger Woods, the excellent form of the European players this year and we're going to have
one of the most exciting and unpredictable golf tournaments in many years. Not if you believe the major pundits though, Tiger Woods (even not being in the best driving form on what will be narrow fairways) is seen as a strong favourite. Not that the locals will be short of
possible winners to support, Graeme McDowell (fresh on the back of his US Open success), Justin Rose and even the old timer Colin Montgomerie are all in the mix.
