Manchester United vs Liverpool Live Online

When you are looking for grudge matches, there are few in world football that can compete with the rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool. Man Utd and Liverpool fans have hated each other for as long as the teams have existed, whether it is a geographical thing or simply that both teams have been so good over such a long time, who knows?

Both teams have had long spells of dominance in the English game over the last 3 decades, Liverpool during the eighties and Man Utd during the nineties and noughties. During those respective periods Liverpool and Manchester United were each regarded as one of, if not the best club teams in the world.

In the 2009/2010 season both teams appeared to stutter early on but now Manchester United sit at the top of the table whilst Liverpool struggle for their much promised 4th place and Champions League football. Manchester United and Wayne Rooney in particular are in great form, the goals are flowing and confidence is obviously very high at Old Trafford. Liverpool on the back of a good week in Europe are still a team that can beat anybody on their day, it's just their days are very few and far between at the moment. It's been another tough week for the Scousers with Rafa having to discipline wayward winger Riera after he accused Liverpool of being a sinking ship. One thing is for sure though and that is that Liverpool would love to put a spanner in the works of Manchester United's bid for a 19th top tier title, a title that would move the team from Manchester ahead of them in terms of domestic success. I guess we will just have to wait and see which Liverpool team turns up at Old Trafford. This game kicks off at 13:30 on Sunday the 21st of March, make sure you don't miss it.

Liverpool vs Manchester United is always a game best watched in the pub. The fact that Liverpool are so far away from a Premier League title challenge (just don't ask a Liverpool fan, this year was DEFINITELY their year, as always) means that this game could have a bit more spice to it, especially if you include the double Liverpool did over United last year and the home win they've already had this season. If you can't get to the pub then there will be plenty of places showing Liverpool vs Manchester United live, online options will be available (depending on where you live), if you do get stuck out and about and can't watch the game live be sure to follow our sports twitter feed where we'll be Tweeting the game live, if from a slightly biast view point maybe :)

Twitter From The Last Manchester United vs Liverpool Game

> Liverpool kick off, ball is quickly camped in the Liverpool half as United retain possession

> First attack by Liverpool sees the ball go out for a throw. All a bit chaotic in the first few minutes

> Rooney plays through Fletcher, too intricate and Liverpool can clear.

> GOAL - Torres. 1-0 to Liverpool. Torres is left free in the box and a good cross finds him easily. Good header

> United only have themselves to blame, shocking goal to give away

> Rooney fired up shoots just wide, Liverpool look happy to play counter attack

> Liverpool short corner catches United sleeping. Kuyt offside

> Valencia dragged down by Mascherano, penalty to United , he should have been sent off

> Mascherano is VERY lucky to get away with a booking, foul actually started outside the box

> Rooney to take the penalty, saved but Rooney follows up and puts in the rebound 1-1

> Fergie is furious with the Liverpool players who scuffed the spot before it was taken. Dirty cheating bastards

> Rooney tries to play in Nani but the pass was over hit. Liverpool's turn to come forward

> End to end this, really good game to watch. Doesn't always happen when 2 top teams play each other

> Gerrard looks for Torres, Van Der Sar comes out well and claims it cleanly.

> United's passing in the top third has been shocking. Torres is looking fired up now

> Park's control lets him down just as he was setting himself to shoot on the edge of Liverpools box

> Kuyt turns well, Torres wins a corner of Ferdinand

> Poor corner, easily cleared. United settle down and start to pass it a bit

> Valencia with a brilliant cross finds Park in the box but he gets under it and directs his header wide

> I'll put £5 on Torres being booked before the end of this game

> Must be a psychic, Torres gets booked for a challenge on Park

> Evra takes a tumble holding his face but then jumps up fine 5 seconds later, no need for that

> Nani comes forward and shoots, Reina takes no chances and turns it around the near port for a United corner

> Liverpool pinned in for a minute, eventually clears to Torres who takes on Vidic, no joy

> Rooney is looking a little sloppy on the ball so far, that's the 3rd time he's given it away

> It's all Liverpool for the moment, Nani blocks the cross. Eventually Man Utd come forward with Park, Rooney caught on the ball again.

> Nani cross goes straight to Reina.

> It's still end to end, one team pressures for a few minutes before the other has a turn. United keeping the ball at the moment

> Valencia cross runs to Nani, cross from Evra and Park is in the box again, wins the header but it's wide

> United last pass is a shocker again, followed up by a bad cross. Liverpool are pinned back but United in the last 3rd have been rubbish

> Beginning to sound like a broken record now, Man Utd attack comes to nothing in the last 3rd

> Torres beats Vidic but the cross is straight to Van Der Sar. Rooney gets taken out of the ball but no complaints from him

> 2 minutes to be added on to the first half. United have definitely finished the half the better team

> United free kick right on the edge of the area, Carragher gets booked

> Rooney freekick is saved and held by Reina. That's the end of the first half

> United kick off the second half, attacking the Sretford end

> Torres wins Liverpool an early freekick. Gerrard ball is cleared by Ferdinand

> United break is scrambled clear by Liverpool. Dare I say the final ball let them down (again)

> It's more pressure by Man Utd, Nani wins a freekick

> Poor freekick. United can't buy a decent pass in and around the Liverpool box

> Liverpools turn to do nothing in the United area. United finally string something together but Parks shot is straight at Reina

> Great pass by Rooney, ball comes in from Neville but his cross is bad, really bad, very very bad

> It look like Giggs might be warming up to come on

> Maxi dives like a good un. United come forward again, just the first signs of some more direct pressure on Liverpool

> Park is muscled of the ball by Mascharano, every chance Park will be the one to be replaced by Giggs

> Torres goes down and slow to pick himself up. It's been a good clean battle between him and Vidic today

> GOAL - Park. 2-1 to Man United. Fletcher cross finds Park six yards out and his diving header finds the back of the net

> Valencia gets a booking straight from the restart. That cross from Fletcher was the first bit of quality from United

> Neville wipes out Maxi with a flying kick to the head. Webb doesn't give a freekick for some reason

> Liverpool have fire in their belly now. Lots of charging around, not sure how effective is all is

> United sitting back inviting Liverpool forward. The shot from Agger is HW&H

> Fight kicks off between Fletcher and Kuyt, all handbags, both get a talking to - ref does a good job

> Vidic plays a kick for territory that Johnny WIlkinson would be proud off

> Liverpool pressing is starting to leave space all over the pitch. Could be a totally different game for the last 20 minutes

> Glenn Johnson gets caught out by Nani but the ref gives a freekick for some reason

> Vidic gets his usual booking against Liverpool, goes straight through the back of Torres

> Aquilani comes on for Kuyt

> Pace, skill and power by Rooney, appreciated by Old Trafford

> Rooney goes for a chip but puts too much on it. Babel comes on for Maxi

> Park puts Rooney clear but he's rightly flagged offside

> Nani comes together with Lucas, crunching tackle and Nani comes off worse

> Even more bad news for Liverpool as Man City go 1 up against Fulham

> Giggs finally comes on for Man Utd. Nani is withdrawn for the final 11 minutes

> United let the ball bounce in the area and Torres is straight on it, Ferdinand does well to clear

> United have started to play a longer game now, Liverpool seem to be having much more of the ball that earlier in the second half

> Liverpool work it well to Mascharano but his cross is very United'ish in its execution. Goalkick

> Manchester United starting to look real edgy in this, Liverpool having far more of the ball and not shy to come forward

> United give the ball straight back to Liverpool again

> Park hasn't stopped all game, he wins a freekick which eases the pressure a little.

> Rooney goes on a mazy run into the box but chokes the shot wide. Scholes comes on for Park, he deserves a rest

> Rooney gets caught in 2 minds and ends up doing nothing from a promising position on the edge of the Liverpool area

> Golden chance falls to Torres in the area. He scuffs it and Van Der Sar saves the follow up header

> 5 minutes to be added on, not sure where that came from?

> Liverpool push forward again, Agger smashes it into the crowd. Only 3 minutes left in this one.

> The best football came in the first 15 minutes, from then on it's been both teams canceling each other out.

> Babel gives a freekick away by fouling Ferdinand, that should be just about this game done now

> There goes the final whistle. Started off great but wasn' t a classic in the end. Manchester United deserve the 2-1 win over Liverpool
