Manchester United Or Chelsea – Last Day Decider - Watch Live

Manchester United or Chelsea title decider

So who’d have thought that when the season started back in August 07 that come the last day the Premier League title would still be undecided? It’s been a roller-coaster ride of a season. Manchester United started the season not being able to score, drawing too many and looking like they didn’t stand a chance of retaining their title. Chelsea were much the same, arguments at Stamford bridge over the future of Jose Mourinho seemed to have unsettled Chelsea and they were drifting along. On the other hand Liverpool and Arsenal both got of to decent starts, if truth be told Arsenal were flying, playing dream football and getting the results that their style of play deserved. The thing that make the Premier League the most exciting football league in the world is that nothing stays the same for long. Teams change and surprise results crop up on almost a weekly basis.

So here we are at the crux of the season. Manchester United are currently at the top on goal difference have scored the most goals (mainly thank to Christiano Ronaldo) and conceded the least. If it wasn’t for a few freaky decisions they’d already have their second Premier League title in 2 years. Chelsea now minus Jose Mourinho are in second place, Avram Grant got of to a dodgy start but has since rallied the team. Liverpool have faded into more nothingness even with the brilliant first season of Fernando Torres and are destined to finish as the 4th best team in England yet again. Arsenal’s young team have probably experience the most dramatic change over the season. Going from champagne football and wins to nice looking football with no cutting edge. Many cynics would say that the age of the team has worked against Arsene Wenger.

Sunday the 11th of May 2008 is the last day of the Premier League season. All games kick off at 3pm with Manchester United travelling to Wigan and Chelsea hosting Bolton Wanderers, all to decide who lifts the 2007/2008 Premier League title. This is the first time that the title race has gone down to the last day this decade. It is estimated that some 200,000,000 (200 million) people world wide will be watching the action, make sure that you’re one of them. I suppose it would only be right to finish of by letting you know who I’ve got my money on, Manchester United of course. They’ve scored more, conceded less and certainly entertained us more than any other team this season. They deserve to win the title.
