Liverpool vs Chelsea Live Online

What a horrible game this must be to watch for Liverpool fans. Fate has decided that the Scousers will have a major say in who lifts the Premier League title this year, although it is not the pushing for the title as they would have hoped. Liverpool's last home game of the 2010 Premier League season will have them play Chelsea who currently sit 1 point in front of Manchester United at the top of the table. If Liverpool can overcome their recent European disapointment and either get a draw or a win against Chelsea then it "should" put Manchester United into the box seat for the final weekend of the season. Don't forget that is the team from Manchester lift the title this season it will be the 19th in top flight English football, surpassing Liverpool's much bragged about 18 titles. Just to make things worse for Liverpool they are desperate for the 3 points in order to stand any chance of finishing 4th and securing Champions League football for next season. Chelsea on the other hand can all but win the title if they can dig out a performance away to Liverpool. It is very much in their own hands and as the old saying goes, it's Chelsea's title to throw away. I suppose I perfect day for Liverpool would be beating Chelsea and then having Sunderland beat Manchester United a few hours later!

When Chelsea play Liverpool it really is a culture clash. Liverpool with their outstanding history have had numerous problems this year and face financial uncertainty. Chelsea on the other hand have nothing like the illustrious history of their northern opponents but the Russian billions have certainly built them into a major force in English football. I don't know if that has anything to do with it but it does seem that whenever these 2 teams come together there is some spice in it. Perhaps the clash the fans look to the most is seeing Steven Gerrard face of against his England team mate Frank Lampard. Two players that are constantly compared to each other in everything they do.
