Masters Golf - Live On The Internet

The Masters has the smallest field out of the major Golf championships at around ninety players. It is an invitational event, but nowadays invitations are largely issued on an automatic basis to players who meet published criteria and as the top fifty players in the Official World Golf Rankings are all invited, none of the leading current players in the world miss out. The Masters is played every year at Augusta.

This years tournament is being widely touted as one of the most wide open in years with Tiger Woods coming back from the various upsets in his private life, nobody can be 100% sure which Tiger Woods is going to turn up at the Masters. Even so there will still be plenty of competition for him. Ernie Els, Sergio Garcia, Padraig Harrington, Anthony Kim, Phil Mickelson have all been tipped as potential winners (Best Odds)of the 2011 Masters.

The Masters attracts a huge TV audience world wide (tens of millions), this year will also see some innovative technology being used to allow iPhone users to watch live coverage and view up to date score cards as the tournament progresses.
